The civilizational thought of martyr Morteza Motahari seeks to formulate a theoretical model for "divine civilization" that emphasizes the distinction between the quantitative and instrumental development of civilization and the qualitative and value-based transcendence of man. This article, with an analytical approach, shows that this model is based on two levels: general human foundations and specific Islamic foundations. At the general level, civilization is built on the perfection-seeking nature of man, will and freedom, creativity, and the ability to convey general concepts, but "faith" is the guiding element and guarantor of the health of these capacities and plays a pivotal role in shaping social solidarity. From this perspective, Motahari considers the break between science and faith to be the root of the crisis of modern Western civilization. At the specific Islamic level, the Quran is considered the central core of Islamic civilization and the religion of the spirit that governs all its spheres. The dynamism of this civilization is guaranteed through the distinction between fixed and variable laws and rules such as the most important, the most important, and the most difficult. Finally, divine civilization in Motahhari's thought, relying on faith-based love and inspiration from martyrs, has a clear teleology and interprets history in an evolutionary path towards the realization of a global society based on truth and piety.
