This research aims to present a systematic paradigmatic model of the components of American civilization, based on the analyses of Jalal Al-Ahmad in the book "Traveling to America" and using the grounded theory method. The final model, which was extracted through coding the text of the book, explains the relationships between the five main categories of "causal conditions, background conditions, intervening conditions, strategies and consequences". The paradigmatic model obtained is as follows: The causal conditions that shape this civilization include "the centrality of materialistic knowledge", "the precedence of material values over moral values" and "ignorance of religious laws". The background conditions for the realization of this civilization are "the dominance of the capitalist system in society" and "the media as a tool of control and anesthesia". The interfering conditions for the realization of this civilization are: “giving priority to material needs”, “secondary importance to the human desires of society” and “failure to respond to the lofty desires of society”. The strategies used to realize the goals of this civilization are: “imposing technology as an undeniable necessity”, “cultural homogenization through media and soft tools” and “creating attractiveness by focusing on entertainment and hobbies” to divert the minds. The final consequences of the realization of these components in the individual and social dimensions are “weakening of religious and spiritual beliefs (cognitive)”, “consumerism and hedonism (moral)” and “replacing secular and material laws instead of religious laws”.
