Situational Assessment of the Role of Painting in the Representation of the Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Abstract
Cultural interactions and artistic exchanges are a multi-dimensional, fluid and diverse element, which can be chosen and analyzed by different names and functions according to the fields of study and use; When it is looked at at the level of different sections of the society and nations, it is called as "cultivation and production of thought" and in the field of macro exchanges in a country, it is called "soft diplomacy or public diplomacy". The main goal of this research is to represent and examine the dimensions and indicators of diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in paintings. This is possible by identifying and explaining the cultural components in Iranian paintings by experts in the artistic, cultural and political fields of the country. The statistical population studied in this research is a collection of experts in the field of art and painting and politicians of the country. In the sampling stage, the "snowball" technique was used, and in the following three types of Delphi questionnaire, pairwise comparison (AHP) and status questionnaire, the components of media-cultural diplomacy in the format of the five dimensions of national, religious, cultural, political and technical (style) in painting. Iran has been exploited. The results of the data analysis show that the role of painting in the representation of diplomacy in the components of national identity, religious identity, and political, cultural and technical dimensions of cultural media diplomacy lacks favorable conditions. Quantitative indicators and relevant statistics indicate the neglect of the role of paintings in the representation of cultural and political components of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which should be compensated for.
